We have a fantastic before and after school club which is to support working parents/carers and for children who want to socialise and engage in exciting activities before and after school. 

Our Early Bird Club from 8am, is run by Mrs Painter and offers a well-supervised and structured environment as well as an opportunity for children to settle in school and play with friends. Not only does it support working families, it is also attended by pupils who want to play in a friendly and relaxed environment before school.  At 8:45 children go straight to class to begin lessons.

Late Bird Club runs from 3.15pm - 4.15pm and is led by Miss C. Harvey and Mrs Rowland.   After school sessions include physical activity (e.g. playing a game or building a den outside) as well as creative play and/or crafts (e.g. role play, painting, cooking, themed activities linked to celebrations through out the year). 

The charge for attending Early Bird from September 2025 is £3.00 per child per session.  

The charge for attending Late Bird from September is £4.00 per child per session. 

Payment for both clubs is required in advance.  Entry will not be permitted without payment.  Please pay online using the  'My Child At School' app.

Chelmo Kidzone

We are delighted to be setting up our new Chelmo Kidzone and we are looking forward to working with you. 

If you would like your child(ren) to have the option of wraparound care after 3:15pm or 4:15pm at Chelmo Kidzone, you will need to fill in a registration form, which must be completed before your child(ren) can start. Please email Kidzone to show your interest and we will send you a registration form, or you are welcome to collect a hard copy directly from us at either Chelmo or Shotley Kidzone.

The prices at Kidzone are £6.75 an hour. We are open from 7:45am and we offer an after school collection from school. Children will be escorted to Chelmo Kidzone, with session end times of 4:30pm or 5:30pm.

If your child is booked in to stay until 5:30pm, a light tea will be provided and is included in the price.
