Pupil Premium

Pupil Premium at Chelmondiston C of E Primary School

Our school receives a Pupil Premium Grant for each child who is entitled to receive Free School Meals or who has been entitled to over the last six years, and for ‘Looked After Children’. We publish online information about how we have allocated the funding.

We aim for every single one of our pupil premium funded children to reach at least national expectations in all areas.
We have largely targeted our additional pupil premium funding on:

  • Ensuring we provide Quality First Teaching
  • Targeted intervention where necessary
  • Pastoral support
  • Enriching experiences, which include an emphasis on outdoor learning

An amount of money is allocated to families to support children with school trip costs, Early Bird and Late Bird Clubs, after school sport clubs or for purchasing school uniform.

If your child does not have Free School Meals, but may be eligible because of your family's income level, please contact the office (in confidence) to register them. Even if you do not wish them to have the meals, this would mean the school could still claim Pupil Premium funding that may be used to help your child.

Catch Up Premium

Our School was awarded £8,800 which we used to help close the gaps in the children's learning as a result of the lock down. Please see the document below which details how we used this extra funding.
