Forest Schools

At Chelmondiston CEPS we place much importance on outdoor learning and are proud of our commitment to developing our pupils' curiosity, confidence and knowledge of the environment - in our school grounds, of our wider surroundings and further afield as custodians of the future. Forest School is a child-centred inspirational learning process, that offers opportunities for holistic growth through regular outdoor sessions. It is a programme that supports play, exploration and supported risk taking. It develops confidence and self-esteem through learner inspired, hands-on experiences in a natural setting.

Mrs Bowman is our Forest School leader.  Our programme of Forest Schools continues through out the year. We feel that more than ever, our pupils will gain so much from the experience.

The sessions are either run in the woods on our school grounds or we walk to the woods at Pin Mill.  We always need additional parents to help run these valuable sessions. Please contact our school office if you would like to apply to become a volunteer.
