Forest Schools

Forest Schools

Forest Schools is run on a Monday afternoon for a Key Stage Two year group. Year 4 have been going in Autumn 2019. We now have two teachers trained to deliver this exciting programme, Miss Clarke and Miss Hawkins. All staff are qualified first aiders but Forest Schools requires additional knowledge, study and first aid training and Miss Hawkins and Miss Clarke have got these certificates.

Learning in the outdoors makes a great contribution to the children's education. At times the sessions will be run on our excellent school grounds while at other times we use Pin Mill.

Reception Cygnets also have outdoor woodland learning sessions with Ms Sutton.

We always need additional parents to help run these valuable sessions. Please contact Miss Clarke if you are able to support us. All parents who support us will need to have a volunteer DBS certificate and this can be arranged, free of charge, at the school office.
