Safeguarding

At Chelmondiston C of E Primary School we take our commitment to safeguarding seriously.  Every pupil in our care is protected by robust safeguarding procedures, the responsibility for which is shared by every member of our staff team.  Our aim is that the pupils at our school feel safe, happy and ready to learn.

Safer-recruitment is an integral part of our safeguarding procedures and as such every member of the staff team, the governing body and our bank of dedicated volunteers is subject to the recommended safeguarding security checks.  Regular training ensures that our culture for safeguarding is clearly communicated and the roles and responsibilities are shared and understood.  Adults know how to report concerns and pupils know the trusted adults they can talk to if they are worried about themselves or their peers.

Full details of our Child Protection Policy, other safeguarding-related policies and a link to further DMAT policies can be found in the policies tab at the top of this page.
