Cygnet and Melissa classes enjoyed a wonderful autumn walk along leafy footpaths to the Orwell River this morning. Alert to seasonal signs and other nature clues, children spotted black berries, horse chestnuts and a wide variety of plants with interesting leaves.  At the river's edge the children identified swans and saw that the tide was coming in. 

Everyone was welcomed into the Pin Mill Sailing Club by Mrs Hopkinson, where children had a drink and a snack before exploring our nature theme further by looking at some of the objects collected along the way.
