We've continued our focus on Outdoor Learning. Year 2 thoroughly enjoyed our Forest Schools activities. All Y5 and Y6 pupils completed Bikeability and we planted winter vegetables and spring bulbs.
We had a wonderful Jubilee celebration day! It was fantastic to have so many families join us for the fun.
Presentations:
All pupils were given a commemorative mug provided by the Chelmondiston Parish Council and we were delighted that Mr Cordle, Chair of the Parish Council, joined us and presented mugs to our older pupils.
The Queen's Gallery:
Each pupil created a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, which were on display in each class. Families also enjoyed our Jubilee Treasure Hunt - which was especially difficult when some of the clues were on the move!
Refreshments:
Our amazing PTA provided refreshments which were enjoyed by all.
Today we welcomed Officer Gooding and Sergeant Gooding to each class to tell us about the work of the police and how to keep safe. Children asked questions and found out about the equipment the police use.
We were delighted to have been selected as a winner of the Bourne Garden Centre spring photo competition. Here are some pupils alongside our fantastic prize which we have already put to good use. Each class has their own raised beds (revamped by our PTA) and we have all been busy planting out vegetables in the last week.
