We've continued our focus on Outdoor Learning. Year 2 thoroughly enjoyed our Forest Schools activities. All Y5 and Y6 pupils completed Bikeability and we planted winter vegetables and spring bulbs.

• Safer Internet Day 7th February 2023

  Safer Internet Day is always an important occasion at Chelmondiston CofE Primary School.  

  Our Y6 Internet Safety ambassadors led our whole school assembly and did a fantastic job of sharing important on-line safety messages with all our pupils. 

  In Cygnet class children talked about what the Internet is, how children should only play games that are designed for children and how important it is to not share personal information. Other classes learnt about who to tell if they were worried about any thing they have seen on line. Thistle and Edme classes enjoyed exploring using VR glasses and building 3D worlds which included characters they could interact with and share positive on line safety advice.

  

• Police Visit for KS2: Online Safety

  This week KS2 have received a visit from PCSO Eleanor Miles, who talked to the children about keeping safe online.  Topics such as protecting personal information, personal safety while gaming, PEGI ratings and online etiquette, helped the children to reflect on how to keep themselves safe in a virtual world.
